The Crack Shack, Costa Mesa
Restaurant: The Crack Shack
Location: Costa Mesa (Newport Beach), with more locations in other parts of merica!
What's it about: Being a consumer (and displayer 😜) of all things Crack. I figured I could get my fix and let my pants down a little. Unfortunately for me, it was in name only, but my momentary disappointment changed to excitement when I saw what they offered!
Who's it for: Fans of big juicy cocks between buns covered in house-made sauces.
Drinks: They have a nice bar and a great selection of craft beers, but all that was pushed aside because my fat ass saw they have rotating Milkshakes!
Food: Chicken sando's are the star, so I got the Firebird (spicy fried Jidori thigh, crispy onions, pickles, cool ranch, artisan potato roll). Sandwiches here are BIG, so I didn't order anything else with it. (Side note: I was solo, and this was my first time here, so yes, it's a review of a single fuckin chicken sandwich and milkshake 😎).
Highlights: YOU GUESSED IT! It's the sandwich.
I don't know what a Jidori is, but I'll happily put my face between those juicy thighs again! Packed with great flavor, a soft bun, crunchy onion strings, and the addition of the house-made sauces really allow you to add a whole nother level to your dish! (My favorite was the Sriracha 1000 island.)
Ights: My minor complaint is I wish it had more heat for being the "Firebird." Most chicken sandwiches that claim to be "spicy" I feel like they tend to be very mild, but I know spice is subjective, and I am a pepper head, so I might be in the minority here.
Lowlights: I should have ordered fries so I could've tried all the sauces, damn it!!!
Dessert: They have a cookie and rotation of Milkshake flavors... SURPRISE! I got the Dark Matter Milkshake (I forgot what was in it, but basically fudg-y, chocolate-y, yummmm-y).
The place is a great spot to come and hang out with friends and family; fun/chill atmosphere, big open space (2 levels), big screen TV, and games to play like "toss the bag in the hole" and "stack shit 'til it falls and makes loud noises."
Overall I give The Crack Shack 4 out of 5 whatever the fucks.
